In today’s classrooms, integration of technology  has become an essential part of creating an engaging and effective learning environment. As we gear up for the new school year, it’s the perfect time to give our classrooms a digital makeover to make learning more streamlined and fun. Here’s how we’re transforming our classroom!

Embrace Interactive Platforms

We try to embrace any digital platform that encourages our students to engage in active communication and participation. We have students use interactive whiteboards to sketch out their responses and thoughts, and Google Docs to move collaboration and editing online.

Utilize Multimedia Resources

We incorporate multimedia resources in as many of our lessons and activities as we can! I like to keep a Google Doc with links to audios (I love AudioLingua!) and YouTube videos that correspond to content we’re learning throughout the year. We also love EuroNews because all of our language are available! By using these resources, I can easily share links with students or subs, and reuse them from year to year.

Gamify Learning

We try to turn learning into the most immersive learning experience we can! One of the easiest things to “gamify” is formative assessments and practice, so I’m a huge fan Jeopardy, Kahoot, Quizlet live, and Boom Cards. What are your favorites?
