Hello everyone and welcome!

Welcome!
Now that we’ve posted a few blog posts, I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself.

My name is Stephanie, and I am a World Language teacher who is passionate about making resources that make your life easier.  I started this business in 2015 when friends and colleagues would ask to steal what I was using in my classroom.  They loved what I was making, and I loved making it!  From there, I grew a whole library of resources for World Language teachers.  So, whether you teach middle school, high school, a traditional curriculum or proficiency-based curriculum, we have activities and lessons that will be right up your alley. Since 2015, we’ve gone through several iterations and edits of our products. We’re always growing and changing and updating, so we’re glad you’re here!

A little bit about me
I come from a big Italian family on both sides of the US/Canada border, and grew up around a lively mix of English, French, and Italian.  I grew up in a small suburb in Connecticut, and loved learning so much that I knew I wanted to be a teacher since the first grade (I think this is very common with educators!) What better way to mix my love of education and languages than to become a World Language teacher?  I earned my BA from McGill University, and my MA in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Connecticut. From there, I began teaching! I have been a French, Italian, and Spanish teacher for over ten years, and have worked in high schools in Connecticut and an international school in South Korea.  I have since completed my EdD in Educational Leadership, and love bringing my life experience into my classroom and my research.  I now also teach on the teacher prep side, and absolutely love sharing my learning and experiences with my students!

What to expect

Every week or so we’ll be blogging our thoughts on great ideas and activities for World Language classrooms.   Are you looking for ideas for your World Language classroom?  Are you certified to teach more than one language?  Are you looking for resources to help your department and colleagues align their curricula and courses?  Then you’re in the right place!  Check out our blog posts and products, and connect with us on social media. Welcome!
